Instructions:

Complete the warm-up.
Open the student handout and homework pages.

You will be writing and solving equations from a given situation. I have included a list of words that represent the different operations.

When writing equations, you want to read the situation, think about what information you were given and what you are being asked to solve.
1. Identify the variable of the missing information.
2. Identify what is happening (the operation) to the variable.
3. Write the equation using symbols.
4. Solve.

The Nearpod video will go through example problems, while it does look similar to your handouts, the problems are not the same.
