Watch the Nearpod videos. They will explain how to use a Net to find the surface area of a 3D figure.
Nets are the 3D figure unfolded to see all its faces. To find the surface area you need to find the area of each of its faces. Think back to when we looked at composite shapes to find the area. You are doing the same thing here.
