Lesson 15: Describing Graphs and Misleading Graphs

Instructions:

Now that you have learned how to find and identify the measures of center and spread from a data set and construct graphs representing that data, we are going to now look at how we can use this data in real-life situations by comparing and analyzing the data. Basically, answering the question what this data and/or graphing is telling us.

By looking at different parts of the graph we can interpret the data. You will be looking at the shape of graphs, how the data is spread throughout the graph, looking for outliers and what they might mean.

Use the teacher slides to go through the notes handout and then complete the practice problems.
